Lottery Online
The lottery has a long history. It was first created by King Francis I in France in or around 1505 and then banned for two centuries. It reappeared at the end of the 17th century as a public lottery for Paris (called Loterie de l’Hôtel de Ville) and as private ones for religious orders, mostly for nuns in convents. By the 19th century, it had become a huge industry. It was a battleground for the monarchy and the church. Ultimately, the church won.
