They say that during the last drawing, a number that appeared to be a lucky one, such as 509, suddenly vanished from purchased tickets and were changed to another number only 10 minutes before the scheduled drawing. The office of Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith has sent a directive requesting the Ministry of Finance to work with the state lottery department to reduce the number of drawings from two to one per week and deal with winnings in a more transparent manner.
