Unlike other Asian nations, Vietnam’s social security systems aren’t yet able to handle the burden of the country’s poorest citizens. On good days, lottery ticket sellers like Huong, a single mother from Saigon, can make up to 230 000 VN-Dong, or 10 US-Dollars, per day.
