The National Lottery in Canada is managed by the Interprovincial Lottery Corporation, a consortium of five provincial and territorial lottery commissions. The consortium includes Atlantic Lottery Corporation (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island), Loto-Quebec (Quebec), Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (Ontario), Western Canada Lottery Corporation (Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, Yukon Territory) and British Columbia Lottery Corporation (British Columbia). In addition, the Canadian federal government has a small lottery funded by a tax on tobacco and alcohol sales.
In Liechtenstein, the International Lottery Foundation (ILLF) operates Internet lotteries. The ILLF pioneered Internet gambling, launching the world’s first lottery website, PLUS Lotto, in 1995 and processing the first ever Internet gaming transaction. In addition to its online operations, the ILLF supports a number of charities domestically and internationally.
