Each of these lotteries offers different games and prizes. A fifth game, Lotto Quebec, was formerly available in the province of Quebec. Buying a ticket in this province was illegal until 1967, when the federal Liberal government introduced an Omnibus Bill that allowed Montreal to legalize a city-owned lottery. The lottery attracted players from Canada and around the world. Its monthly draws were widely publicized and were popular with residents and tourists alike.
