He said the government needs to invest in a system that can trace those involved in illegal lotteries and prevent them from selling them in Laos. Currently, the government only controls the national lottery in Laos, which is held three times a week and offers keno and scratch-off lotteries. Gambling is illegal in most of the country, but there are a few Special Economic Zones where gambling is allowed.
