In Vietnam, a company called Vietlott has been granted an exclusive license to operate computerized lotteries nationwide. This company is a joint venture between a foreign investor from Malaysia – Berjaya Corp Bhd (BCorp) and its Vietnamese affiliate, Berjaya Sports Toto Bhd (BToto). The business cooperation contract between BCorp and Vietlott includes provisions on investment in technology, equipment software and the operation of computerized lotteries in Vietnam. The project is expected to be completed in 2018.
