A Finance Ministry official who serves on the committee that oversees the lottery told RFA he was aware of the issue and would look into it. He said that while reducing the number of drawings from two to one per week could help, other changes will need to be made to restore confidence in the lottery system. These may include requiring that all numbers be shown in the draws and not just those that are sold. In other words, he might make it more difficult to manipulate the results. He did not say when these changes might take effect.
