A source in the capital Vientiane told RFA’s Lao Service that winning numbers frequently vanish from purchased tickets and are replaced with a random number. The latest example occurred on Oct. 14 when the number 509 was announced as the winner only to be changed 10 minutes later to 134, according to the source.
