In the United States, there are four nationwide lotteries: Lotto 6/49, Lotto Max (which replaced Lotto Super 7 in September 2009), Daily Grand, and Millionaire Life. Instant lottery tickets are also available in some states, and video lottery terminals (a kind of slot machine) are used in some jurisdictions. In Canada, there are five regional lottery commissions owned by the provincial and territorial governments: Atlantic Lottery Corporation (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador), Loto-Quebec (Quebec), Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (Ontario), Western Canada Lottery Corporation (Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut), and the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (British Columbia). The provinces and territories have also created a national lottery called EuroMillions.
