Hanoi Lotto – An Integral Part of Vietnamese Culture

Hanoi Lotto has become an integral part of Vietnamese culture, with players from all walks of life regularly taking part. Players guess a series of numbers in order to win a jackpot prize of small amounts up to an astounding jackpot prize; both online and offline platforms allow users to access this popular lottery. Furthermore, playing process is simple and direct, with winners receiving instant notifications of their results, increasing odds of success substantially.

Many of those who participate in Hanoi Lotto are refugees from other countries, seeking better lives in Hanoi. Thanks to Hanoi Lotto they can often meet basic needs while using some of the money for school fees for their children.

But lottery is not without risks: some children are robbed of their tickets, or duped into accepting fake winning tickets that can lead to financial issues and even jail for refugees. Sometimes prize money is even used to purchase drugs and weapons which leads to further violence and poverty among families living here. But some local social workers encourage refugees selling tickets as it provides a safer alternative than stealing or beggary.

On good days, Huong sells approximately 250 tickets daily, earning her about 11 US-dollars in profit. Her husband Manh assists in this work as a driver during off hours. On bad days she may only sell 180 tickets, not enough to meet basic expenses.

Manh and his family belong to the Iu Mien ethnic group and fled Vietnam during its civil war to Laos and Thailand for refuge, eventually moving on to America in 1994 where Manh currently works as a mechanic. With two children at home he hopes that selling hanoi lotto may help ease financial strain – however this alone doesn’t always provide sufficient means of support.

The lottery has also helped some migrants overcome their fear of authorities. Vo, an asylum seeker from his native country who fled his native land on a wooden boat in 1978 has amassed more than $2 Million but cannot sleep well because he fears someone will steal it all away from him.

Mega 6/45 Lotto will also be introduced by this company; tickets for this game with a minimum jackpot of $12.4 billion will become available starting December 5 at betting terminals across Hanoi at VND10,000 per ticket and distributed through official agencies that will set up 150 terminals throughout Hanoi – dealer markup will cover shipping costs from Ho Chi Minh City.
