Drawings for the Lottery of the National Democratic Republic (LND) often show numbers that vanish from purchased tickets or that are deemed unlucky and unlikely to be selected, according to the sources who spoke on condition of anonymity. These business interests reportedly pay the government each year for the right to operate the lottery. However, the government’s control of the lottery remains a question mark.
