On good days, Huong makes a profit of about $11 a day, enough to feed herself and her daughter. On bad days, she only sells about 180 tickets. Both she and her husband, Manh, work a 16-hour shift each day. Their schedule starts at 5 am with breakfast and continues until they finish selling all of their tickets for the day.
