Drawings often show numbers that disappear from purchased tickets, or that are deemed unlucky and unlikely to be chosen, they say. For example, on Oct. 14, the number 509 appeared only as a 5 on ticket purchases throughout the day of the drawing, but then changed to 134 shortly before the scheduled event.
