In addition to the interprovincial lottery corporation, private companies operate lotteries in each province. These companies are licensed at a state or territory level, and include both state government-owned enterprises and privately owned companies. These include Atlantic Lottery Corporation (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador), Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (Ontario) and Loto-Quebec (Quebec). Private businesses are also allowed to sell lottery tickets in Australia.
