Huong has been selling lottery tickets for more than a year and works in partnership with her husband, Manh. On good days, they can sell 250 tickets and make a profit of around 11 US-dollars each. But they have to endure a heavy 16-hour shift and are sometimes harassed by the police. The money they earn from lottery tickets helps support their family and children. Huong says she hopes the government will resume control of the national lottery and that it should be 100 percent managed by the state.
