In the communist country of Laos, lottery officials are rigging the system by manipulating winning numbers to avoid large pay-outs, sources tell RFA’s Lao Service. Drawings for the state lottery are often marred by missing or disappearing numbers. For example, the winning number 509 in a drawing on Oct. 14 this year appeared only as a 5 on purchased tickets throughout the day of the drawing, an RFA source says.

The International Lottery in Liechtenstein Foundation (ILLF) pioneered Internet gaming and operates a variety of websites.
