In Canada, there are four nationwide lottery games: Lotto 6/49, Lotto Max (which replaced Lotto Super 7 in September 2009), Daily Grand, and Millionaire Life. These are operated by the Interprovincial Lottery Corporation, a consortium of the five regional lottery commissions owned by their respective provincial/territorial governments: Atlantic Lottery Corporation (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador), Loto-Quebec (Quebec), Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (Ontario), and Western Canada Lottery and Gaming Corporation (Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut).
The National Lottery is the official lottery of New Zealand. It is controlled by an autonomous Crown entity, Lotto New Zealand. Profits from the lottery are distributed by the Lottery Grants Board to community groups and charities. These include Sport and Recreation New Zealand, Creative New Zealand and the New Zealand Film Commission. The Lottery also operates the Golden Kiwi and Instant Kiwi scratch-card games. The winnings from these games are not taxed in New Zealand. The lottery is also available internationally through a number of offshore online operators.
