In the United States, lottery games are regulated by state governments. While the legality of online lottery gambling varies by jurisdiction, some laws prohibit it. In addition, many Internet service providers (ISPs) limit their customers’ access to online gambling sites or block them altogether. As a result, most players who participate in online lotteries do so using proxy servers or virtual private networks (VPNs).
