Moreover, the businesses that run the Laos lottery are linked to members of the ruling elite, an anonymous caller to the RFA program told the news agency. “Many of the business interests that run the lotteries in this country are connected to families of the current and former top leaders of the nation,” he said. “The government should resume control of the national lottery, and stop this crooked system.”
