Lao authorities are rigging the nation’s legal state lottery system to avoid large payouts, sources in the communist Southeast Asian nation tell RFA’s Lao Service. Drawings often show numbers that vanish from purchased tickets or are deemed unlucky. For example, the number 509 in last month’s drawing appeared only as a 5 on tickets sold throughout the day but changed to 134 minutes before the lottery was scheduled to take place.
In addition, the Seoul city government requires mandatory garbage sorting with liquids, paper, uneaten food, and general trash to be separated from each other. As a result, Lotteria has specialized receptacles for each of these categories in their restaurants and charges customers 50-to-100 won per bag.
