In New Zealand, the Government manages the lottery through an autonomous Crown entity called Lotto New Zealand. Lottery profits are distributed by the Lottery Grants Board to a range of community groups, including Sport and Recreation New Zealand, Creative New Zealand, and the New Zealand Film Commission. The Government does not tax Lotto profits.
