Lottery Online is a form of online gambling that allows players to purchase tickets to enter draws for prizes. Most countries have laws that prohibit it, but some have legalized it and regulate it. In the United States, for example, state-regulated lottery games exist in Arizona, California, Delaware, Illinois, New Jersey, and Rhode Island. There is also a federally licensed private company, GTech Corporation, that administers 70% of the worldwide online lottery market.
In Canada, provincial and territorial governments operate four national lotteries: Lotto 6/49, Lotto Max (which replaced the previous lottery called Lotto Super 7 in September 2009), Daily Grand, and Millionaire Life. The Canadian Interprovincial Lottery Corporation oversees the operations of the four regional lottery commissions: Atlantic Lottery Corporation (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador), Loto-Quebec (Quebec), Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (Ontario), and Western Canada Lottery Corporation (Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, Northwest Territories, Yukon, and Nunavut).
Local stores sell tickets for 9 000 VN-Dong per ticket to individual sellers who strive around the streets of Saigon. The individual seller gains a 10% profit for each ticket sold. Local media have reported that there are more than 200 sellers selling tickets to the public.
In Laos, the illegal sale of foreign country’s lotteries has been booming, the Finance Minister told parliament recently. He said that the sales of these illegal lotteries -particularly Vietnam’s – are difficult to control as they take place online and offer multiple lucky draws in one day. He promised to investigate the issue and make sure that authorities in charge can trace the illegal operators and stop their activities.
While gambling is technically illegal in Laos, there are Special Economic Zones that allow casinos to operate legally and accept players from the country. Online gambling is also allowed in a number of international online casinos. However, players from Laos should be aware that there are many fake casinos that may take advantage of them and scam them out of their money.
Winners of the lottery must be present to claim their artwork. If you can’t be there, you can set up a proxy with the gallery before the event. Please note that only the guest name entered on your Lottery Ticket will be eligible to select artwork.
When asked what she plans to do with her winnings, Dokkeo said that she will spend most of the money on a new home for her children and family. She also has a wish list of travel destinations. “South Korea, Japan, Vietnam,” she says. “I just want to travel.” Her phone has been ringing nonstop since her win, she added. She says she has received countless calls, texts and emails from friends, neighbors, and strangers who congratulate her. The 33-year-old mother of three says the sudden fame has been overwhelming. “It’s hard to keep up with all the messages and emails,” she said. “I’m so grateful for all the support.” The art she selected was an oil on canvas by a local artist named Phathoon.
