Lao deputy finance minister and state lottery supervisor Sila Viengkeo told RFA that the governing body will soon announce new rules to ensure transparency in the country’s lotteries. In the meantime, he said, complaints about the state lottery are unfounded. He added that the governing body will not tolerate illegal activities and will crack down on anyone who violates the law.
