In Laos, the government is taking action against illegal lotteries, Finance Minister Bounchom Ubonpaseuth told a recent meeting of the National Assembly. Illegal lotteries from Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia and China are sold in Laos as many as four times a day, Bounchom said. The ministry is working to introduce a system that can trace and identify those selling the tickets, he added.
