The office of Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith has now ordered the Ministry of Finance, which oversees the country’s legal state lottery, to work with the police to address this issue. The ministry also plans to reduce the frequency of lottery drawings from two to one a week, and to handle the distribution of winnings more transparently.
