In a statement to the media, Lao deputy finance minister and state lottery supervisor Sila Viengkeo said that the Aug. 17 directive sent by the office of Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith ordered that the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Security work together to improve transparency in the state lottery system. Sila emphasized that the government will continue to fight against those who take advantage of the state lottery system.
