The provinces are then further divided into municipalities, or nakhonluang. Lastly, the municipalities are divided into neighborhoods, or thomkham, and villages or baan. In total, there are 170 thomkham and 450 baan. In the past, a small number of villages were disbanded in favor of larger khweeng and thomkham.
